Bocked in the curtain, fan shadow and corner of the mantle. The saturated color is delicious to me. Working on the branches of the trees reflected in water. A breeze after doing the limbs of trees in Boomlift. Again, the saturated color is like a cup of strong, milky tea and toast with butter dripping from it - such a pleasure.

An Atlanta native, I lived in northern California in the sixties, worked in front of the camera in Europe in the seventies, and earned my living as a writer for twenty plus years. As a contemporary realist painter, I'm fascinated by the skin of the world, the bounce and skitter of light on textures, and the push and pull of shadows on form. See my finished work on my website, www.virginiaparker.net and follow my works in progress here. I currently live 1.4 miles from the house I grew up in.
