Placed the Knight Tarot card colors, fiddled with the Guinevere
face, did a second round on the Lovers Tarot card. Too wet to add the
black outlines on the Tarot cards that will make the images pop. This is
where self-discipline comes in handy. I do like the juxtaposition
of the crisp graphic cards and the softer natural face. I'm even okay
with this version of the portrait.
Itching to do another round on the blue background cloth. Mixing blues today.

An Atlanta native, I lived in northern California in the sixties, worked in front of the camera in Europe in the seventies, and earned my living as a writer for twenty plus years. As a contemporary realist painter, I'm fascinated by the skin of the world, the bounce and skitter of light on textures, and the push and pull of shadows on form. See my finished work on my website, www.virginiaparker.net and follow my works in progress here. I currently live 1.4 miles from the house I grew up in.
